Step 1: Select the Dealer
You might have guessed what this person’s job might be. Dealers are your coordinators of the game. They shuffle the cards distribute them to the players and decide the final result of the game. Whoever has drawn the highest cards, gets to become the dealer.
Step 2: Placing Bet
Being a gambling game, of course, the players have to bet on money. In this, the betting starts with the player sitting on the left side of the dealer. The amount put is known as the ante. Every player then places an equal amount in a pot which is kept in the middle.
Step 3: The game is always played in a clockwise direction from the dealer. There are three things that a player can do.
. They can either call, which includes continuing in the game without raising the bet. You can
choose this option to be on the safer side.
. They can raise, which means increasing the bet. This means they will add more cash to the

Rules of Teen Patti

- Either you can play Seen. This means you take a look at your cards.
The amount is raised based on these two rules, thus every player influences each other’s betting.
What are the Betting Rules of Teen Patti?
Now before you decide to place a bet, you should learn a bit about betting. It means the players are required to have an equal amount of bets.
First, the ante, which is also known as the ‘chaal’, is the minimum bet at the beginning of the game. This comprises the first round.
The second round depends on whether the player chooses Blind or Seen. The Blind player cannot bet more than 2 times the initial bet. The Seen player cannot bet more than 4 times the initial bet. The Blind player can become a Seen player at any point of time in the game.
Sideshow: A Compromise
Now, Teen Patti also has a rule for sideshows. In this rule, a player can compare their cards with the other player on requesting it. The decision to either show the cards or not depends on the other player.
However, a Blind player cannot request the sideshow. This rule works on the instincts and decision-making of the player who requests the sideshow.
The other player can only reject the request twice. They have to accept it the third time.
If this occurs then there are two possibilities :
First- Both players secretly compare their hands and the player with the weaker hand has to fold. If it is a tie then the player who requested the sideshow has to fold.
Second- If the compromise is denied again, the player who requested has to bet the same amount as the previous player.
Things to Keep in Mind
. The highest card is the Ace, followed by King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8 and backward. The lowest are the 2s.
. Every player should only bet as much as they are sure to win. Don’t bet unlimited if you are unsure of winning.
